I remember my first trip to Walt Disney World. I was seven years old and excited to see Cinderella’s castle. However, my first trip was during the 25th anniversary so at that time it was a pink cake. I was still so excited and just fell in love with the characters right away. From meet and greets, to character dining and parades. I loved it all and from that point I knew that I wanted to work for Walt Disney World and help create the magic.
Many years passed with many trips to Walt Disney World and one trip to Disneyland. Everyone knew me as the girl that loved Disney. My nickname in high School, as well as college was, “Disney.” When I was in college I learned that I could audition to be a Character Performer, my dream job. I auditioned and a long month later I learned that my dream has become a reality! I moved to Walt Disney World for the College Program in 2009. From February 2009 to August 2011 I was a Cast Member. I was a Character Performer most of that time, but also held a different role as a Vacation Planner at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Even though I was living my dream I knew I had to come back and home and finish college. Now I have that degree, an amazing husband, and two wonderful kids. Getting to experience my happy place with my children makes is so much more amazing. Being able to see the looks on their faces whenever they see Mickey Mouse in real life or watch Festival of the Lion King is something I was cherish forever.
I would love to plan your next magical vacation and help create memories that will last a lifetime!
